Burger with blueberry BBQ sauce



  • 150 g of ground meat

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 2 tbsp. of minced onion

  • 1 tbsp. of chopped fresh herbs

  • salt and pepper

  • 4 slices of cheese

  • 4 buns

  • Some lettuce and sliced shallots

Blueberry BBQ sauce

  • 250 g of Y.V.Fresh blueberries, frozen

  • 3 tbsp. of balsamic vinegar

  • 1 ½ tbsp. of tomato sauce

  • 1 ½ tbsp. of coconut sugar

  • A dash of Worcestershire sauce (approx. ¼ tsp)

  • 1 garlic clove, minced


  1. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce in a saucepan and bring to boil.

  2. Reduce the heat to simmer. Stir occasionally until thickened, then set aside.

  3. Mix the ground meat, garlic, onion, herbs, salt and pepper together in a bowl. Make 4 patties out of the mixture.

  4. Cook the burgers on the grill to the desired doneness.

  5. Place the burgers on the buns. Top with cheese, sauce and vegetables to serve.
