Why fresh berries make the perfect snack
We all know berries contain a high amount of antioxidants. In fact a study shows that blueberries, blackberries and raspberries have the highest antioxidant levels of all fruits! A particular antioxidant found in blueberries, anthocyanin, helps keep your memory sharp as you age. Not only are they high in antioxidants, berries are a fantastic source of fibre. A diet high in fibre reduces hunger and means you will feel fuller for longer.
So if you are craving an afternoon snack, or trying to be more healthy, this fresh berry salad is sure to become your new staple. It is a fun way to change up the usual fruit salad by only including berries and it is something you won't feel guilty about!
