Chia seeds are one of the most popular super foods going around. Although small, these seeds are full of nutrients such as fibre, protein, omega 3 and calcium. The seeds can be eaten in their raw form or soaked, where they will expand and gain a texture similar to cooked rice.

The general recipe the base of chia pudding is 2 ½ tablespoons of chia seeds to ¾ cup of a liquid of your choice, whether that be a type of milk or water.

Choc – Strawberry

· ½ cup coconut milk

· ¼ cup coconut water

· 2 ½ tablespoons black chia seeds

· 1 tablespoon cacao powder

· Honey (to taste)

Mix together and let it sit in the fridge for no less than 4 hours.

Top of with fresh, chopped strawberries, dark chocolate chips, coconut and granola.

Banana – Peanut butter

  • ¾ cup almond milk

  • ½ - 1 full small banana mashed

  • 2 ½ tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1 tablespoon melted peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • Honey (to taste)

Mix together and leave it to sit in the fridge for 4 hours.

To top it off, chop up fresh strawberries and blueberries, put them on top and add a dollop of peanut butter.

Mixed berries

  • ½ cup fresh mixed berries (we’ve chosen raspberries, blueberries and strawberries) blended with ¼ cup water

  • ½ cup almond milk

  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • A few drops of vanilla extract

Mix together and leave in fridge for 4 hours.

Top it of with more fresh berries, passionfruit pulp and caramelised walnuts for that extra crunch.
